About Tarangire
Tarangire National Park is famous for hosting Tanzania's largest elephant population, with herds of hundreds gathering along the Tarangire River during the dry season. The park's iconic ancient baobab trees create a landscape unlike anywhere else in Africa.
Beyond elephants, Tarangire offers exceptional bird watching with over 550 species recorded, as well as lions, leopards, wild dogs, and large populations of buffalo and zebra — all within a park that remains far less crowded than its famous neighbours.
