A scenic safari paradise famous for tree-climbing lions, flamingos, and breathtaking Rift Valley landscapes.
About Lake Manyara
Lake Manyara National Park is one of Tanzania's most picturesque wildlife destinations,
nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley escarpment. Covering approximately 330 km²,
the park combines lush groundwater forests, open grasslands, acacia woodlands, and the
alkaline Lake Manyara itself.
The park is renowned for its famous tree-climbing lions, large elephant populations,
troops of baboons, hippos, giraffes, zebras, and over 400 bird species. During certain
times of the year, thousands of flamingos gather along the lake's shores, creating one
of Tanzania's most beautiful wildlife spectacles.
