Serengeti National Park

The Serengeti National Park is one of Africa’s most famous safari destinations, known worldwide for its endless golden plains, rich wildlife population, and the legendary Great Wildebeest Migration. Located in northern Tanzania, the park forms part of a larger ecosystem shared with Kenya’s Maasai Mara, making it one of the most important wildlife conservation areas on the planet. The Serengeti is home to an incredible diversity of animals, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhino), as well as cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, zebras, hippos, crocodiles, and over 500 bird species. The park’s vast open landscapes make wildlife viewing easy and rewarding throughout the year. One of the biggest highlights is the Great Migration, where over 1.5 million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebras and gazelles move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. This natural cycle includes dramatic river crossings at the Grumeti and Mara Rivers, where predators such as crocodiles and lions are often seen in action.
